Class Description:
Effective governance of any nonprofit organization is built on a solid foundation which goes beyond having a good mission statement. Components include:
-
clearly defined roles and responsibilities for both Board and staff
-
constructive communication practices
-
an understanding of and respect for the intricacies of an organization’s life cycle
To become a high performing leadership team, both board and staff need to understand their part in the process. This Three-Part workshop is designed to share information that can make that happen.
Part One - 1 PM - 4:30 PM for Executive Directors
The early part of the session will provide executive directors with an overview of these issues and an opportunity to address concerns specifically relevant to their individual organization.
