Deborah L. Cooper, president of NSC, announces resignation

The board of directors of the Nonprofit Services Center (NSC) announced that its president, Deborah L. Cooper, has resigned and will be stepping down, effective April 30, 2012. A national search is underway to find her successor.  Read the press release.

NSC offers the Nonprofit Calendar of Training and Workshops as a means of information distribution to the nonprofit sector in the region. Nonprofit organizations are welcome to add a community capacity building workshop or event on the Nonprofit Calendar; however, you must first become a registered user on the NSC website and select "Calendar Event Poster" as a subscription.  Once logged in, please click on the below to begin adding your capacity building training or workshop.

Inclusion of any non-NSC sponsored event on NSC's Calendar does not signify endorsement of training, content, presenters or venue by NSC, its staff, board, consultants or volunteers and should not be considered as such. Only nonprofit organizations offering such training or workshops are allowed to post an event. Consultants, please subscribe or update your subscription to include the Consultant Connection to post programs you offer.

Financial Leadership for the Arts

Financial leadership is the art of guiding a nonprofit to sustainability - producing exceptional mission impact and sustained financial health  This workshop discusses the Executive Director's role as the financial leader of the organization and provides steps to help you better assess your finances, balance your mission and money, and strengthen your business model today.   We'll also discuss how to engage your Board of Directors in the finances and answer your questions.

Each three hour workshop is $30.00/ person.  Purchase the entire 2012 series for only $300! An organization purchasing a series may designate different staff to attend different sessions; however, only one staff member per workshop may attend per registration.

 

The Arts and Education Council (A&E) is pleased to announce the pilot year of the Arts Leadership and Management Academy, an initiative of A&E in collaboration with the Nonprofit Services Center and funded by Wells Fargo Advisors.  The academy will focus on providing training and support for arts and cultural organizations in and around St. Louis. Eleven workshops will be presented in 2012 and held at the Centene Center for Arts and Education, located in Grand Center, 3547 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO 63103.
