Fundraising for Small Nonprofits
Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Illinois
October 1 - 3, 2007 ~ 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
NSC is proud to offer a new seminar series for organizations located in the Metro East. Fundraising for Small Nonprofits, facilitated by The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, is specifically targeted to the one-person development team or grassroots organization.
Participants will learn how to prioritize tasks and work with and recruit volunteers to aid in the fundraising process and organization's growth. Special emphasis will be placed on selecting the right fundraising vehicles for the organization. Participants will receive a study guide with models they can use, and a CD ROM of class materials to share with staff and volunteers.
The Fund Raising School training is highly interactive. Participants will share ideas with peers and are encouraged to bring materials from their organization (i.e., budget, mission statement, case statements, etc.) to use throughout the class.
Registration:
With funding provided by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the seminar is offered free to organizations participating in the Kellogg E.D. Roundtables, but you must register by Monday, September 17, 2007. [Register Now]
Other small to mid-size nonprofit organizations from the Metro East may register if there is space available. Registration deadline is September 24 and the cost for the three day seminar is $200.00 per person. Check back on the NSC website for registration information after September 17.
Consultant Support:
Through a competitive selection process a number of seminar participants will be awarded consultant support towards the creation of a three-year development plan for their organization.
