Director of Online Strategies
Primary Responsibilities
Working closely with campaign leadership, the Director of Online Strategies will be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all aspects of Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures online campaign. The Director will partner with other aspects of the campaign to produce innovative, comprehensive and relevant online strategies and programs.
Specific Responsiblities Include
- Implement overarching plan for campaign’s online presence and online engagement and recruitment of advocates
- Work closely with campaign leadership and consultants to ensure the campaign’s online presence is meeting overall campaign objectives, including advocacy, fundraising and grassroots organizing
- Oversee campaign’s databases, including manipulating and updating databases
- Develop and measure key performance indicators to quantify and qualify the impact of online marketing and recruitment efforts
- Evaluate, track and report on various metrics with suggestions for improvement to online systems and strategy
- Coordinate with communication staff, consultants and campaign leadership to write and design email campaigns to advocates and supporters
- Design and manipulate website content
- Oversee campaign’s online advertising and blog presence
- Prepare reports, records and related program documents as required
- Provide online and database support to both internal and external constituent groups
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Experience
- Previous experience with online campaigns
- Experience with at least one political campaign
- Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of web properties, mobile technology, email marketing and online activist engagement
- Knowledge of Web standards and Website development
- Knowledge of HTML
- Ability to develop metrics and measure effectiveness of campaigns
- Familiarity with online database systems, preference for familiarity with Convio or GetActive
- Familiarity with online activist engagement campaigns
- Familiarity with website analytics and online advertising
- Commitment to protecting and advancing stem cell research
- Strong organizational, conceptualization, and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills combined with excellent interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on problem-solving and sensitivity to diversity
- Team player who functions well in political campaign environments and willing to work long hours and some weekends
