Nonprofit Trends Watch
The Meyer Foundation and CompassPoint Nonprofit Services released The Board Paradox, completing a series of three briefs based on a national study of more than 3,000 nonprofit executive directors. The briefs report survey results and findings not included in the Daring to Lead 2011 main report, which was released in late June.
Nonprofit Trends Watch
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation wants to help relieve people in communities nationwide of the guesswork in determining the quality of their local doctors and hospitals. A newly launched online service provides links to over 200 reports that contain information on whether doctors and hospitals deliver good or bad care.

- In our ongoing commitment of developing and delivering useful and relevant services to strengthen the nonprofit sector in our region, NSC is proud to offer the Consultant Connection™; an online, searchable database tool enabling nonprofits to find consultants according to area of expertise, last name or company name.
- Consulting Services
- Our network of experts is dedicated to enhancing the nonprofit sector and providing high quality counsel to organizations of all sizes.
- Customized Training
- NSC offers any organization or association on-site customized, tailored capacity building training through our in-house team of experts.
- Funder Services
- NSC acts as an advisor to funders and facilitates the full grant process - implementation, review and monitoring - to ensure optimal outcomes from grantees.
- Job Connection
- NSC's Job Connection is a new resource for dedicated professionals seeking opportunities in the nonprofit sector. For employers, NSC's Job Connection gives you access to nonprofit professionals throughout Missouri and Illinois.
- Leadership Programs
- NSC promotes strong leadership as a means of strengthening organizations and offers several opportunities for leadership development among nonprofit staff and boards.
- Online Nonprofit Management Certificate Program
- NSC's Nonprofit Management Certificate curriculum has been approved for Continuing Education Points by CFRE, International. Enroll in the entire suite of courses and earn 24 CFRE Continuing Educatin Points towards your CFRE certification. Or, enroll in any of the individual courses and earn three to five Continuing Education Points.
- Seminars and Workshops
- Workshops are conducted throughout Missouri on topics related to strengthening organizations. Topics such as Grant Writing, Fund Development, Volunteer Recruitment, Governance, Program Planning and Evaluation and Financial Management are covered.
- Seminars are multi-day sessions over a four- to six-month period targeted to executive directors and other management staff.
- Webinars
- Webinars offer a great opportunity to hear from national experts on topics of interest to nonprofit profressionals - with no travel costs or time away from the office! In fact, you can gather as many staff around a computer and offer professional development for one low registration fee.
