Deborah L. Cooper, president of NSC, announces resignation

The board of directors of the Nonprofit Services Center (NSC) announced that its president, Deborah L. Cooper, has resigned and will be stepping down, effective April 30, 2012. A national search is underway to find her successor.  Read the press release.

The Meyer Foundation and CompassPoint Nonprofit Services released The Board Paradox, completing a series of three briefs based on a national study of more than 3,000 nonprofit executive directors. The briefs report survey results and findings not included in the Daring to Lead 2011 main report, which was released in late June.

St. Louis Fund Development Purpose: The agency is requesting support to construct a fund development model that will sustain the organization.   

Benefit: The project will help the organization develop a donor base, better target foundations, and develop an individual donor program.
Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Inc. Springfield Fund Development Purpose: The agency is requesting support to create a fund development plan to expand revenue sources.

Benefit: The project will help the organization increase community awareness of its programs and be better trained to develop a diverse funding pool.
Missouri Health Care for All St. Louis Strategic Planning Purpose: The agency is requesting support to create a three-year strategic plan.   

Benefit: The project will support the agency in identifying priorities and opportunities to strengthen its strategic partnerships and increase its capacity to provide services.
St. Francois County Health Center Park Hills Strategic Planning Purpose: The agency is requesting support for technical assistance in the area of strategic planning.  

Benefit: The project will help the organization in its preparation to pursue accreditation through the Missouri Institute for Community Health.   
Lupus Foundation of America - Heartland Chapter St. Louis Fund Development Purpose: The agency is requesting support to create a three-year fund development plan.   

Benefit: The project will support the organization's efforts to become more sustainable.              
Area Community Health Emissaries, Inc. Anderson Short-Term Business & Financial Planning Purpose: The agency is requesting support to create a short-term business and strategic plan as the organization explores the possibiilty of providing primary care services in 2012.   

Benefit: The project will help prepare the agency to identify and establish/enhance systems, in particular financial management, as well as revise its strategic plan as the organization considers an expanded level of services in 2012. 
SIDS Resources, Inc. St. Louis Fund Development Purpose: The agency is requesting support for a fund development consultant.

Benefit: The project will help the organization increase and diversify its funding base, develop more effective special events and train board, staff and key stakeholders.
Randolph County Caring Community Partnership Moberly Human Resources Management Purpose: The agency is requesting support for the development of a human resource management system.

Benefit: The project is designed to increase productivity and morale and enhance service delivery as a result of improved HR policies and practices.
Willow's Way, Inc. St. Louis Fund Development Purpose: The agency is requesting support to create a fund development plan.
