Strategic decision making doesn't happen every three to five years, it happens every day in the offices of nonprofit senior management. And, every decision effects both the impact that an organization is having as well as their financial viability.
Class Description:
This two-day interactive workshop delivers a framework for looking at your organization, understanding what you want to accomplish, your business model and how your programs and fundraising activities work together to create a sustainable and effective organization. Participants will understand deeper the true costs of running their programs and revenue strategies as well as their intended impact and the use of logic models in accomplishing their mission. In doing so, we introduce a new process for strategic planning that recognizes the dynamic world we live in and provides with you the tools to quickly assess your environment and make strategic decisions for impact and sustainability.
By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Understand how strategic planning doesn't happen on a planning cycle, but rather everyday in their decisions.
- See how every decision has both a mission impact component and financial component.
- Identify their theory of change, intended impact and business model.
- Be able to utilize the Matrix Map as a tool to visual and strengthen their business model.
- Understand the different steps to thinking strategically in day-to-day operations.
Please note: No refund for cancellations five days prior to event. Events may be rescheduled or consolidated due to low registration
