NSC is pleased to offer for 2008, Strategic Fundraising for Nonprofits—a four-part seminar with ongoing coaching through the creation of a fund development plan, as well as the potential for implementation assistance.  [Download Application Packet]

In the seminar, Donna McGinnis will teach key elements of success in fund development and guide participants to create individualized plans for their agencies to increase donations in the most efficient and effective way. Throughout the series, participants can expect to:

  • Increase understanding of fund development as it pertains to the organization’s unique characteristics.
  • Increase understanding of budgeting and financial management as it relates to fund development.
  • Research and identify donors and potential donors.
  • Determine the most efficient and effective way to build relationships with and gain financial support from donors and potential donors.
  • Engage staff and board members that will need to participate in the process.
  • Draft a development plan tailored to the organization’s specific needs and capacity.
  • Be prepared to implement a development plan with potential funds for implementation.
  • Engage in four hours of individual coaching each month.

The fall seminar series will be offered in St. Louis on August 19, September 16, October 21 and November 18. A commitment to participate in all four sessions of the series is required.
