Annual Giving Coordinator
Trailnet is a 501 (c) (3) organization that promotes active living through bicycle and pedestrian activities. With strengthened emphasis on program activities, Trailnet is seeking a database management professional for the position of Annual Giving Coordinator.
Reporting Relationships
The Annual Giving Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and Communications and works in collaboration with fundraising and marketing staff.
Responsibilities
The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for four key areas:
Membership Programs
- Coordinates all campaigns to acquire, retain and upgrade individual donors through direct mail, personalized correspondence, online giving and events.
- Produces timely correspondence and reports to monitor progress and analyze results.
- Serves as liaison to member donors and prospective donors to enhance understanding of program activities.
- Maintains inventory of required supplies for gift solicitation and fulfillment.
Gift Processing and Tracking
- Working with staff, establishes written policies and procedures for all gift management activities, from solicitation through intake and acknowledgement.
- Follows procedures to capture all donations and produce donor acknowledgements as needed.
- Maintains paper and electronic files.
- Captures data, produces and analyzes reports to ensure consistent tracking within organization.
Donor Database Management
- Maintains donor database and ensures its proper functioning.
- Routinely updates donor records with new or updated information.
- Provides routine output for print and online communications, including merge documents, lists, mailing labels and other documents.
Development and Fund Raising Activities
- Organizes and provides support for member/ donor events, as well as other events.
Comensation
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits/ flexible work schedule available.
Position Requirements
- Two to five years non-profit development experience preferred and database management experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.

- Significant experience in non-profit fund-raising and database management;
- Strong organizational, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively;
- Keen customer service attitude;
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, mail merge and database systems;
- Appreciation for outdoor recreation and conservation.
